CALL FOR PAPERS AND PARTICIPATION

 

Aims and Scope

The workshop’s objective is to present and discuss current achievements in the field of technology-enhanced learning, especially on methods and tools for development of semantic-enabled systems and services for multimedia content, interoperability and reusability.
The workshop will present the results of current European project under the programme Specific Support Actions:

Contract No. INCO-CT-2003-003401 HUBUSKA
Networking Centres of High Quality Research on Knowledge Technologies and Applications

Beside regular papers, we invite also demonstrations of prototypes and products. Demonstrations will be presented in the proceedings by 4 page demonstration descriptions.
The official language of the Workshop is English.

    Topics (include but are not restricted to):
  • Web-based distance learning architectures and solutions
  • Semantically rich multimedia information in the service of eLearning
  • Interactive multimedia and mobile learning
  • Tools for preparation and usage of manifold educational data
  • Strategy developments of eLearning applications

Paper submission

Papers should be submitted electronically to hubuska@itec.uni-klu.ac.at in MS WORD format. Papers should be written in English and should be no longer than 15 pages – incl. figures –, in Times New Roman style, size 12pt, single line spacing. The first page should contain the title of paper, names and addresses of all authors (including e-mail) and an abstract (100-150 words). The Proceedings of the workshop will be published.

April, 25, 2006 – Final papers (max. 15 pages) and revisited demonstration descriptions (max. 4 pages). Papers and descriptions not arriving in time and/or not respecting the comments of the reviewers will not be published. The proceedings will be finished and posted at the end of May, 2006.
